Welcome to Handprints Nursery
Set in the small leafy town of Silsden, Handprints caters for 59 children between three months and 5 years old, and 19 children aged 5 – 11 years old.
We are situated on Bolton Road in the heart of the town centre, with easy access to drop off and pick up your children safely in a fully newly refurbished building, which used to be the towns Police station.
The nursery is on two levels, with two enclosed outdoor areas assessible from the playrooms, allowing children to experience free flow play what ever the weather. Handprints was established in 2014 and prides itself on its endeavour to provide high standards of quality care and education.
The nursery is fitted with CCTV in all rooms to ensure all staff and children are safeguarded. We believe that care and education are inseparable and a loving atmosphere fostered by good relationships between home and nursery helps a child feel happy, settled and secure.
Handprints use a system called EYLOG to record observations, pictures and media of your child which is uploaded to your child’s secure online profile. This system also allows parents to upload their own observations, pictures and media of children from home.
All our staff promote best practice and the care and welfare of the child is paramount during their time at our nursery.
We work in partnership with the local authority’s early childhood services and we are audited by them yearly. We are also registered with the national Day Nursery Association and Ofsted.
